Further winter activities in Altenmarkt
Winter and snowshoe walking plus winter nordic walking along 30 km of cleared footpaths induce winter romance and adventure pure. Stomp through the wonderfully snowy winter forests, through untouched deep snow, feel at one with yourself and nature. In the evening the way for walkers is lit by headlamps.
The floodlit toboggan run from the Hochnössler-Alm and Bifei´s Hütt´n leads 4 km down to the valley station Hochbifang on a specially created track. You can also whizz down the valley on a toboggan along the quiet road from the Habersattgut, the Reitlehenalm and the Moosalm.
Explore the winter wonderland on a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride into the beautiful Zauch Valley, through forests, over fields, on a ride around Altenmarkt.
In Altenmarkt-Zauchensee there are two ice skating rinks. It's very romantic up at the frozen Zauchensee lake at an altitude of 1,350 m and very sporty on the rink in the centre of Altenmarkt. |
